As a growing initiative to increase awareness for tree care programs across the country, Spring-Green Lawn Care has once again teamed up with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant trees around the community. For the fifth consecutive year, Spring-Green, an active supporter of Arbor Day, maintains their mission to plant a minimum of 10,000 trees a year. Celebrating the holiday on April 25, Spring-Green remains committed to being environmentally responsible by enlisting the best practices in lawn and tree care while helping to create beautiful landscapes. “It’s a privilege to be involved with such an incredible organization as The Arbor Day Foundation,” said Ted Hofer, Spring-Green Lawn Care’s CEO. “Spring-Green truly believes in their mission and we will continue to do our part to replant our nation’s forests.” Arbor Day was originated in Nebraska City, NE by Julius Sterling Morton, a Nebraska journalist and politician originally from Michigan. An estimated one million trees were planted in Nebraska on April 10, 1872. Today, the holiday that inspires people to plant, nurture and celebrate trees is celebrated in 34 countries worldwide.
