It has been estimated that there are over 30 million acres of lawns in the United States. Lawns remove carbon dioxide and pollutants from the atmosphere. They have a cooling effect and contribute oxygen at the same time. Lawns also reduce noise pollution, runoff, and filters water as it moves down through the dense bio-system of the roots. A well-maintained lawn and landscape adds significantly to a home’s value.

Besides helping to maintain healthy green spaces, Spring-Green is dedicated to reducing unnecessary pesticide usage by a minimum of 35%. We are using products that have the lowest environmental impact whenever possible. The introduction of organic and organic-based fertilizers into our lawn care programs will improve diversity in the soil, which leads to a deeper and stronger root system and a healthier grass plant. Another change for Spring-Green in our Go Green initiative is the introduction of an injection spray gun that allows us to selectively apply a pest control product on demand – when it is needed and where it is needed. By pulling the second trigger on the injection gun, the control solution is injected instantaneously into the flow of fertilizer at the gun. By applying a pest control product only when and where it is needed, we are following the basic principles of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) to manage pest populations while reducing environmental risks.
