The common house cricket is a small insect that measures under one inch. They’re brown and have larg back legs, long antennas and wings. Male crickets often sing at night when they’re trying to find a mate.
HABITAT
Crickets live under rocks, logs and along a home’s foundation. They’re nocturnal insects and break down plant material for food that also helps renew the soil. Additionally, rodents, birds, lizards and turtles eat crickets as part of their diet.
